CAT FISH FARMING

One of Golden Basket Ltd's major successful projects started in 2021 is cat fish farming. This was a self funded project started in a privatized family owned land. This project managed to breed and grow 3 tons of catfish which were successfully sold in July 2022. As soon as they were sold, the pond was restocked with another set of fish which are expected to keep  growing for the next 5 months. This project is seen as one which will continue and expand in the future offering employment to many youths and improve the financial well fare of the family generations.

CROP FARMING

Under the strong rule of Golden Basket Ltd, crop farming was equally established in 2019 in Bweyale. This farming was done on family owned pieces of land and various crops. This turned from subsistence farming to commercial farming with crops such as beans, groundnuts and maize being the major sources of business. This project has been a way opening source of income to youths and mothers in Bweyale district.

POULTRY 

In 2019 to 2021, Golden Basket Ltd also established and ru a poultry farm in Gayaza, Wakiso district which was used to grow layers which produced premium yellow yoked eggs and broilers which were in turn sold for chicken. The business temporarily closed down due to the pandemic but Golden Basket Ltd plans to restore it back up again.
